Amanda K. Hayes is the president & founder of AKH Financial Corp with offices in Florida and Ohio. She takes a comprehensive approach to incorporating all aspects of personal, retirement, investment, estate, tax, and business planning. She works with individuals, business owners, and high net worth families offering a diverse platform of wealth management, insurance, and consulting services.
With over 15 years in the financial services industry, Amanda's been recognized by her local community as one of the most influential business leaders under 40 in Volusia/Flagler county - receiving the award twice in 2015 and again in 2020. She holds the Series 7 and 66 professional registrations as well as the distinguished ChFC - Chartered Financial Consultant and AAMS - Accredited Asset Management Specialist Designations. She also holds her Life, Health, and Variable Annuity licenses with the state of Florida and is registered in 10 other states collectively. She attributes her success to the high priority she places on being a good steward of the assets entrusted to her care.
Amanda has been featured on local radio and news outlets for her market commentary. Her archived shows are available in the Media section of this site from previous radio shows in 2021 with the late Marc Bernier of WNDB called Money Talk with Marc & Amanda. The show features market commentary which syndicated to iTunes and all podcast channels.
Amanda takes complex financial concepts and presents strategies for her clients with simple, easy to follow advice. She's passionate about improving the lives of those she works with and committed to listening to her clients, the most important component of her practice.
Her firm AKH Financial Corp was built 100% on that input from clients. It is the best products, back office, technology, research, and support staff she could ask for. Due to her work with small business owners, she launched Industry Salon in 2013 and then rebranded it to Salon 728 West in 2020. Salon 728 West has grown to become one of the largest high-end salons in the Volusia county area earning it the “Best Around” award from the Daytona Beach News Journal for over 5 years in a row. This venture has fostered even greater entrepreneurial skills enabling her to provide business consulting services to her clients. She understands business owners' needs in multiple capacities.
She also finds time to give back to her community and has been a trustee on the Ormond Beach Police Officer’s Pension Board since 2009. She's served on the Board of Directors for the Volusia/Flagler Healthy Start Coalition since 2014, an active member of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce since 2008, and a member of NAIFA - National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. She is also a member of the *Million Dollar Round Table.

Cathy Asch is the Client Services Director at AKH Financial Corp. She began her career in the financial services industry in 2007 and began working with Amanda in 2010. She brings a background in Office Administration of over 40 years to AKH Financial Corp. She takes pride in providing the best experience possible to all our clients. She is originally from California but has lived in many different places. She came to Orlando, Florida in 1972 and then settled in Volusia County in 1990 where she raised her family. She is married to Joe for 24 years and has one son. Her interests include her collections of both turtles and plants and her three dogs who keep her entertained and busy. Her dream travel destination is Australia and hopes to get there someday.
Sandy Lake
Client Services Associate
Sandy Lake is the Client Services Associate at AKH Financial Corp. She began her career in the financial services industry in 2004, ultimately becoming an investment advisor in 2006. Sandy met Amanda in 2006 when they worked side-by-side at Edward Jones Investments. Sandy continued working in the financial services industry through 2014. At that time, Sandy pursued a career in the medical field as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, working through the COVID-19 pandemic. Sandy returned to financial services in her new role at AKH Financial in September of 2021. Originally from Kansas, Sandy has lived in Florida and the U.S. Virgin Islands as well. She has one teenage daughter and is engaged to be married to Greg in 2023. She loves taking care of plants and gardening, and spending time with her family.
